Festival of Gas - New York World’s Fair 1964-65
"First at the Fair" - the gas industry’s exhibit helped set the festive mood of the Fair with its Carousel, Fun House, Puppet Show, and the Festival restaurant, which uses gas for cooking, cooling and to generate electric power. Mailed from Long Island, NY to Mr. & Mrs. Arle Boltz or Dighton, Kansas on November 2, 1964: Greetings from N.Y. - We enjoyed the fair. Now we are making a Hallowe’en costume (clown) for our 2. year old. Everyone is busy here - even us - we baby sit and run errands. In about a week we’ll be on our way home. Love, H.B. & Nellie
